Top 9 Alternatives to Clickfunnels

Let’s face it, ClickFunnels is a great tool to have and chances are you know about it since you landed on this page.

ClickFunnels is known to be a very effective sales funnel program. However, is it right for you? Are there alternatives that would suit your business and budget better?

ClickFunnels is not cheap and I am going to list for you the best alternatives and for a lower price. In some cases, MUCH lower.

I also did a ClickFunnels review if you’d like to learn more about it.

Top 9 Alternatives to Clickfunnels

1. Groove Funnels

GrooveFunnels is the new kid on the block and it's free (for now)

At the moment, you can get a free lifetime account with GrooveFunnels and you can sign up without a credit card. Keep in mind this could change at anytime so i'd act now if I was you.

When you sign up, you can create 3 free websites with GroovePages. It's very easy to use and you can add a ton of block features to make your page look great.

If you are looking to create more than 3 websites, then you will need to upgrade.

But for those of you that are new, i'd start with GrooveFunnels because it's free to start and you'll get an amazing site builder which is truly drag & drop and easy to use. I love it!

There's no excuse really.. .Create a free account here.

2. Thrive Themes Membership

Essentially, a Thrive membership consists of a suite of wordpress plugins. This would seem completely different to what ClickFunnels offers. However, both of them are able to create powerful conversion optimized funnels that also have A/B split test capabilities.

With Thrive, you need an existing wordpress website where you utilize the plugins from your membership to build your funnels, sales pages etc. The advantage here is that since it is your site and hosted by you, you have full control. With ClickFunnels they control hosting and if you discontinue your membership you lose everything.

Here is how they compare for a lead generation funnel:

ClickFunnels is easier in the sense that everything is included in one platform. With Thrive, you will need to connect the right plugin for what it is you want to do but they are all included in your membership. There is full training and support which is fantastic.

A Thrive Membership that gives you access to all the plugins you’ll need is just $19 a month.

If you want to see a detailed comparison between the two, Thrive has a very detailed comparison on their website here.

To get a better idea if the Thrive Membership is for you, I urge you to view the above link comparing the two in great detail. Thrive does a great job on this and there’s no point in replicating it on my page here.

If you are convinced already and want to jump in, click here for your Thrive Membership.

Thrive does not have a free trial, but they do have 30 day money back guarantee. If it’s not for you, you can cancel and get a full refund.

3. Optimize Press

Similar to Thrive Themes, Optimize press is also a wordpress plugin. If you are looking to create landing pages, membership sites and salespages this might be an option to consider over ClickFunnels.

Features of OptimizePress

OptimizePress comes with many features and these are some of the important ones:

  • Element Browser – All you need for building landing pages and marketing sites
  • Marketing Page Builder – This LiveEditor allows you to create pages and layouts.
  • WordPress Themes and Plugins – OptimizePress integrates with all WordPress sites. You can create landing pages and sales pages that can be integrated into your blog seamlessly.
  • Membership Sites and Custom Product Deliver Sites – This allows you to create membership sites and secure areas on your site for certain members (paid members most likely)
  • LaunchSuite – This is their funnel creator for product launches.

Optimize Press Pricing

OptimizePress is very affordable when comparing it to Clickfunnels. There are 3 options to choose from – The Core Plan, Publisher or Pro Plan.

Support is free for the year and includes all the updates. If you wish to continue support and updates, there is a yearly cost of $39.

For light users and ones just starting out, you’ll probably just need the core package which is a one time fee of $97.  The publisher package is $197 (one time fee) which has some extras on top of the core package.

You’ll only need the Pro Package if you’re running a small business or if you’re a hard core marketer. It will allow you to run up to 10 websites. It’s still fairly cheap at $297 which again is a one-time fee. It includes all the features of the other packages and more.

4. Instapage

Instapage is a sophisticated landing page builder. It also allows you to set up your entire funnel on its platform.

As Instapage has problems with the integration of membership platforms, it’s web-based editor is superior and does a better job than most other funnel builders.

As for templates, there is a selection of 200, all very sophisticated. I do like the drag and drop editor since it is very easy to use. The flexibility is great and allows you to create your vision on your page with ease.

Features

Some of the features of Instapage:

  • A/B split testing results on the dashboard.
  • Performance of your pages are easy to understand with a built in analytics tool
  • The heatmaps feature allow you to see where your visitors are looking on your page, see what they click on and so on. You can use this data to enhance any page.

Instapage Pricing

Instapage has 3 pricing options. For $68 a month you can get the Core Plan. The next tier up is the Optimizer Plan at $113 per month. The agency plan is $203 monthly.

When comparing Instapages to Clickfunnels, Clickfunnels is a complete solution that incorporates both landing pages with email automation. Instapage on the other hand just offers simple lead generation and landing page design.

You will need to use Instapage along with other tools in order to have a complete email marketing solution.

5. Leadpages

Similar to Instapage, Leadpages is a landing page design tool. It helps you create professional looking landing pages without needing any coding knowledge.

You will still need tools such as GetResponse or Infusionsoft to create an email marketing campaign. In this way it does not compete with Clickfunnels which is more of an all in one solution. However, you will need the $297 a month Actionetics package with Clickfunnels to have a full email automation toolkit.

Leadpages’ focus is more on landing pages than funnels so it will require a little extra effort.

There are many different templates you can choose, in total there’s about 130 of them. If you need something different, you can always purchase a template from Themeforest between 10 and 30 dollars.

Leadpages Features

  • The landing page editors include a simple version (easy to use) and an advanced version.
  • Webinar hosting
  • Pop-up notifications can be created anywhere on the site to allow visitors to sign up to your list
  • Integration with external email providers, webinar platforms and membership sites.

Leadpages Pricing

Starting out at just $25 a month, Leadpages is a very cost effective alternative to Clickfunnels. However, if you include the Pro or Advanced packages, the price goes up to $49 for the Pro and $199 a month for the Advanced package.

Although Leadpages is cheaper than Clickfunnels, you will need to pay for an additional tool for email marketing automation.

I suggest Get Response as it’s only $15 a month. Note – do not use Mail Chimp if you are doing affiliate marketing. They do not allow it on their platform and you run the risk of getting your account banned. Get Response allows affiliate marketing so you are safe with them. You also get a free 30 day trial without even having to give any credit card info.

With the combined email marketing platform, Leadpages is a great alternative to Clickfunnels.

6. Builderall

Builderall is more of an all-in-one solution and this is how it differs from Clickfunnels.

With Builderall, not only can you build funnels, but you can build a website or blog, ecommerce store, it has an autoresponder for emails, you can create webinars, apps & more.

If funnel building is all you're interested in, then Builderall's "Canvas Funnel Builder" is where you can display your complete funnel in a flowchart that makes it easy to follow.

Here's an example of what your funnel can look like. I created this myself and although it looks kinda busy, the flowchart is easy to follow and you can visualize how your funnel will work.

Builderall Features

  • Website & Page Builder
  • Canvas Funnel Builder
  • eCommerce - store builder powered by Magento
  • Webinars - create & host live webinars
  • eLearning - create online courses
  • App creator - create apps to publish on the most popular stores

Builderall Cost

The "Essential Plan" is just $29.90 per month

The "Premium" Plan is $69.90 per month.

This is quite a savings compared to Clickfunnels especially if your needs only require you to get the Essential Plan which most people will opt for.

7. 10 Minute Funnels

For newbies and those that want a trouble free and easy way to create websites, pages and marketing funnels, 10 Minute Funnels could be your solution.

10 Minute Funnels allows new marketers or business owners to set up effective marketing systems with professional looking websites easily and at low cost.

Along with being a simple to use funnel builder, 10 Minute Funnels also has some great features:

  • No limitations to the number of pages you can create
  • Simple to use drag & drop builder
  • Easy to use even for novices
  • Create landing pages, video pages, opt-in lead generation pages, home pages, sales pages, order forms and more.
  • Analytics, SEO, split testing, shopping cart, social media links, widgets all included.
  • 24 hour support

10 Minute Funnels Pricing

They have a $1 trial that gives you access for 14 days. After that, you have the option of choosing between two different plans.

The premium membership is $97 a month. The Enterprise plan is $197 per month.

Although 10 minute funnels is higher priced than some of the other builders, it’s features make it worth the extra investment but Clickfunnels is priced the same for the basic plan so something to think about.

8. Interfunnels

The new kid on the block is Interfunnels. Interfunnels was built to mimic Clickfunnels and it’s probably the best “copy” I have seen to date. With Interfunnels you can create Opt-in, Sales and membership funnels.

All the main autoresponder integrations are included with new ones being added. Paypal & Stripe payment integrations are included along with a host of other payment providers.

It’s newbie friendly and cloud based. Everything is done online without anything to download. Pages are easily created with an easy to use editor.

9. Shopify Funnel Builders – Trifunnels, Funnel Buildr, Zipify

For those of you that are into dropshipping and ecommerce, perhaps you are looking to build a funnel to one product that you would like to promote. Your ads might be doing well but you want to target this product more.

Clickfunnels might be the expensive option but you can create Shopify funnels with products like TrifunnelsFunnel Buildr (free plan available) and Zipify. The whole purpose of these funnels is to upsell them more products so you are making the maximum amount of sales from each customer possible.

Conclusion

So, which one should you get?

As you can see there are quite a few different options and alternatives to Clickfunnels.

Here are my suggestions.

You'll save a lot compared to Clickfunnels with these.

Suggestion #1 - Groovefunnels

You can't beat GrooveFunnels especially for the price of FREE...

Keep in mind this will be a bit limiting but if you were to opt to the full suite of what Groovefunnels offers, it will still be cheaper than Clickfunnels.

For those of you that don't even have a website yet or just want to build up to 3 landing pages, there is no excuse to not join GrooveFunnels right now.

Suggestion #2 - Thrive Membership

If you are looking for a cheap alternative i’d suggest a Thrive membership at just $19 a month. Thrive is becoming very popular in the marketing space and have an excellent reputation for delivering a great product.

You'll be able to do just about the same as with Clickfunnels, it just might take a bit of work because you may have to connect all the tools together but they are available for you to use.

The training is excellent and so is the support. Whenever I have a problem they will provide the info to help or even securely login your site to see what they can do to fix the issue. They're great to work with.

There are others as I mentioned above but the main difference between Clickfunnels and my other suggestions is that Clickfunnels is an all-in-one solution. Some of the others will require additional tools such as an email marketing platform like Get Response (don’t use Mail Chimp if you are doing affiliate marketing) to complete the puzzle.

If you are willing to take the steps to learn how to incorporate other tools, then you can save yourself some money. If expense is not an issue, then definitely go with Clickfunnels.

  1. About Thrive Themes: If I get Savage Affiliate 2.0, would I skip over the clickfunnels training if I go with Thrive Themes instead? And I suppose I then would teach myself Thrive Themes? (backstory, not new to all of this, been trying for years without success until I started ecommerce. Now that my store is set up and growing, want to go back to affiliate marketing for passive income…oh and I am technically inclined)

    • Hi Yvette, you’d still go through the Clickfunnels training so you understand what Franklin is teaching. You could get a free trial to try it out as well. Then what you could do is build something similar using Thrive Themes. I have done this myself in the past as well. If you can afford it Clickfunnels is a very good product but you can definitely make Thrive Themes work, it will just take a bit more effort.

  2. Hi,
Very good post, but Iam missing “Beaver Builder” and “Unbounce”. Both top alternatives. Maybe you could check them in the near Future. Cheers.

  3. If I have a blog but I also have a shopify store, can I use Thrive as a funnel for my shopify store to sell ecom products?

    • Hi Ricky,
Thrive installs on Wordpress so it would have to be configured on that platform. So yes, you can build your funnels there which would lead your customers to your Shopify store.

    • Interesting. Will check into this. Haven’t heard his name for quite some time now. Though he retired or something.
