There are a lot of different ways to source suppliers for dropshipping. The problem is that most of them are pretty cumbersome.
When I was first getting started with dropshipping, I would have killed for something that would have made my job a whole lot easier. You are lucky, You have Dropified – formerly known as Shopified.
If you have a Shopify store (and you should have a Shopify store!) then this is probably the best way to start sourcing suppliers. Let's take a bit more of a look at this in this Dropified review.
How to use Dropified
Dropified is an application that integrates with your Shopify store. Once it is integrated, you can play about with a couple of different menu options. It is dead simple.
These options will allow you to add products to your website from countless dropshippers around the world. In fact, Dropified has millions of products there. All of these can be added to your website in mere seconds. All you need to do is click about the app a little bit.
Once you have added products to your website using Dropfied, the entire process is automated. Whenever an order is placed on your website, an order will be automatically placed with the supplier.
This pretty much allows you to be hands-off with the admin side of your business. This will allow you to focus on the marketing of your site which is how you are going to be making the vast majority of your cash.
How Does Dropified Integrate with Shopify?
That's it. That is all that you need to do in order to fully integrate Dropified with Shopify. Once that is up and running, everything about Dropified should be simple to use.
Features and Benefits
There are two different plan options available through Dropified, and each of them is going to bring something a little bit different to the table. I want to take a look at them separately, as they are both targeted at completely different styles of dropshipping.
Therefore, one of these options may be better for you than the other option.
Before I do that, I want to take a look at the features and benefits that you will find with both of the plans.
Perhaps the main reason why people will be picking up Dropified is that the platform makes it so simple to add products to your site. No matter which plan you select, you will have tons of products that can be added to your website in mere seconds.
This is going to save you a whole lot of time. In fact, Dropified says that it can save the average person 20-hours per week. Since I know just how long I spend tracking down products for my dropshipping websites, I would say that this estimate is correct.
If you want, you can have the products automatically shipped out for you too once an order has been placed. Again, this is going to save you a whole lot of time in comparison to other methods.
With non-automatic methods, the second your website gets busy (and I hope it does!), you are going to be spending hours and hours per day just placing orders. This is time that would probably be better spent on marketing, right?
Private Label On-Demand Plan
This is a unique way of dropshipping, and you don't really see it talked about a lot.
When you normally dropship, you are shipping other people's products. Their brand will be on it. Well, if they have a brand at all.
The only way you take part is when you sell the initial product. This is a great way to dropship, but some people struggle to build up their own brand.
With the Private Label On-Demand Brand, you will be able to ship out products that have your logo attached to them.
This is only going to work in some niches (mostly those that are selling supplements), but it is a fantastic way to build up a brand for supplements without the huge amount of overhead.
These products are all proven products, and if you go by the suggested price from Dropified (and I suggest you do), you will be looking at profits well in excess of 400%.
I bet there is not a single person out there that would turn their nose up at profit margins like that, is there?
All of the products that Dropified recommends are going to come from the USA too, so you know that they are high-quality. This means that you can continue to strengthen your brand and that will, hopefully, lead to even more sales.
Dropfied's Import Plan
This is the plan that I do see the majority of people opting for. This is because it covers most dropshipping needs.
The Import Plan allows you to add products to your site from a database of millions. They will come from websites that have one-click ordering such as Aliexpress and eBay. As you can imagine, it takes mere seconds to add a ton of products to your website.
So, Dropified is the quickest way to do that. All of those products can be shipped out automatically, so you can really take a hands-off approach to managing your website once you have added the products.
My favorite feature is the global settings. From here, you can automatically price everything on your site based upon the markup that you want. So, if you want to adjust every single price on your website in just a few clicks, then you can do that.
Of course, you also have the ability to set the pricing for individual products if you really want to do that too.
Your customers will benefit as well.
Dropified will give shipping updates for all of the products that you sell on your website that were placed using the Dropified application.
This means that your customer service is pretty much going to be automated too. Again, this is something that is going to be helping to strengthen your company's brand.
Alternatives to Dropified
Dropified is a great product.
However, I do want to point out there that there are a few Dropified alternatives out there. There are three which may be worth checking out if you do not believe that Dropified tickles your fancy.
ShipStation isn't about finding dropshipping suppliers. Instead, it is for those companies that do a bit of drop shipping while having their own warehouse at the same time. So, it is really for those that are expanding their business.
ShipStation allows you to manage your shipments across several different shopping carts. So, for example, if you have your own eCommerce website, Amazon, and eBay, then all of those sales can be viewed in a single place.
It also offers discounts on shipping within the United States. This is a 'must-have' application for those that want to take their business to the next level. It can manage dropshipping, if you want. It is merely an order list, so you can check the orders that have come in from several different platforms and place them like that.
In fact, I find it brilliant if you are dropshipping outside of Shopify.
If you prefer to be dealing with suppliers located in either the EU or the United States, then Spocket is for you.
So, if you have not had the greatest success dropshipping from China, or you want to ship higher quality products, then you will almost certainly want to be checking out Spocket.
The only downside is that it can be quite expensive, with a $99 per month fee if you want to be dealing with EVERYTHING that the platform has to offer.
This can be a tough fee to swallow if you are just getting started in dropshipping.
Oberlo is probably the closest product to Dropified. This means that it will allow you to add products to your Shopify store with ease. However, unlike Dropified, there are a couple of limitations.
For example, with Oberlo you can't automatically place orders. This will all need to be done manually. There are also product limits with Oberlo, even if you are paying $29.99 per month for the highest-level subscription.
Although, it does have the perk of a free plan being available if you really want to test out how Oberlo works.
Dropified solves the problem of needing to spend hours and hours finding products to add to your dropshipping store. It also helps to solve the issue of shipping out the products.
With its database of millions of products and the easy-to-use system, Dropified comes highly recommended to anybody wanting to dropship.
