Effective Ecommerce Review: Travis Marziani Facebook, Google Ads Courses

Youtuber Travis Marziani offers advice on his Youtube channel to start your own store on Shopify. He also goes into other topics such as Amazon FBA, how to hire a virtual assistants, business tips, wordpress tutorials and more.

Who is Travis Marziani?

Travis is an entrepreneur that quit his corporate job 6 years ago. Good for him. Since then he's been working online and has even created his own brand called "Performance Butter." With this, he does prefer that you also create your own brand around a passion product.

His current subscriber count is just under 30,000 and according to Socialblade he's picking up an average of 56 subs a day - not bad. His traffic looks normal and doesn't appear to be buying traffic from sketchy sources.

On his Youtube channel when you sign up for his "Free Ecommerce Success Pack" you will get an email where when you click on the button you'll be presented with a  "gateway" website called Effective Ecommerce.

Here he offers some free advice on ecom topics like how to setup an online ecom business, mistakes to avoid, some tutorials and more. He does promote his Shopify link heavily and will offer a 30 minute consultation if you sign up through Shopify from his link. The link I just dropped is mine though - see what I just did there lol.

He's got some videos on his site as well that range from topics on store design, merchant services, Snapchat and Mobile marketing, tax tips etc. These videos are dating around 2016 so in the Ecom world that's eons ago. However, some are still relevant.

Paid Courses

Along with Travis' free content on both his YT channel and website, he does have the option for you to purchase paid courses.

These courses are:

  • Google Adwords Product Listing Course - $147
  • Beginner Facebook Ads Course - $197
  • 25 K Ecommerce Profit Plan - $197
  • Passion Product Course - $497

Google "Adwords" Course

The first course on Google Adwords I can tell you is outdated already because Google has now rebranded it to simply Google Ads. In this course he shows you how to setup Adwords (the new interface is completely different btw - not sure if he will update this) how to find converting keywords, negative keywords, set up product listings, remarketing display ads and more.

There are 7 modules in total with over 5 hours of content. Bonuses include a 1 year membership to his private mastermind, access to a premium checklist and a free 30 minute coaching session - if you were one of the first 100 buyers.

Since Google Ads has been updated, mostly all this information is available for free. Google has some good tutorials as well as you can find them on Youtube.

Beginner Facebook Course

The training here is decent enough, with over 5 hours of content. Buyers will also get a one-on-one coaching consulation with Travis provided you are one of the first 25 buyers. You won't know if you qualify unless you buy the course it seems.

There are 7 modules in topics ranging from:

  • Setup - FB page, pixel, posting calendar
  • Building Your Audience - branding, audiences, tips & tricks
  • Facebook Ads - best type of ads, incl. lead, video, conversion, remarketing
  • Tips to Build a powerful Facebook Ad - power editor & split testing, engagment
  • Review - Metrics, columns, overview

It's hard to say how dated this course is but the in the videos the FB interface looks fairly recent. Regardless of how often Facebook changes their interface though the information taught should still be applicable.

The modules are pretty typical of what you would find in other paid Facebook training so nothing really stood out here.

25K Ecommerce Profit Plan

This course is a walkthrough of how Travis took his own site from scratch to over $25,000 in one year. Now this might not seem like a lot to you from what you have seen from the other Youtube ecom guru's but he does show you how you can scale this.

The course covers how he did it, how to setup "Adwords" SEO and other strategies in Ecommerce. The course includes 10 modules with 10 hours of teaching.

The modules included are:

  • Introduction
  • Setting up your store
  • Onpage SEO and SEO basics
  • Advanced Store Setup
  • Social Media
  • Off-page SEO, backlinks, Press releases
  • Content Marketing
  • Adwords (Google Ads)
  • Product Listing Ads (this is now called Google Shopping)
  • Conversions

He does put some excerpts from his course on the page so you can view some of the content so you get an idea of his teaching style.

Travis' teaching style is good and teaches in a matter that is newbie friendly. However I just didn't find any groundbreaking strategies that would separate this course from other similar ones found online. The exception is that he does show one of his own stores which most guru's do not do so kudo's to him on that.

Passion Product Course

This product currently is showing as being closed and in a Beta launch. However if you try to buy it it will take you to a checkout page so not sure what that's all about. It's the most expensive course of the bunch at $497.

The course is designed for those that want to sell their own product on Amazon or on a Shopify site. Strategies include how to create a winning product idea, how to test your idea, working with manufacturers, get crowd funding, setting up your product and so on.

If you're looking to create your own product to market then perhaps this course could be for you but i'd probably contact Travis directly on what's up with the course being closed.

Final thoughts on Travis Marziani's courses

If you were expecting a "learn everything" course where you can learn Facebook and Google ads, product research, Instagram training, SEO, sales funnels, chatbot training and more, you might be a bit disappointed with what he offers.

You'd have to buy the Facebook training separately, same with Google ads training and the 25K Ecommerce profit plan to have a complete course. At least somewhat complete and you're going to spend $541 for all that.

If you want to learn all the topics in these 3 courses plus additional training on sales funnels, email marketing, chatbot training and much more, I would suggest picking up Ecom Elites instead. It's much cheaper and covers everything you need to learn.

Ecom Elites is created by Franklin Hatchett, a highly successful marketer and a 2 Comma Club winner from Clickfunnels so you know that he has a proven track record in making money online. I'm sure you'd rather learn from someone like that right?

With all the competition in Ecom, you're going to need the best training possible if you plan on taking on Ecommerce. Without it, you'll just end up like many others with failed stores. Don't let that happen to you!

So check out my review on Ecom Elites right now and see why it's my number 1 recommended dropshipping course and something you should seriously consider if you plan on being successful.
