Keala Kanae Review: Awol Academy, Fullstaq Marketer a Scam?

Welcome to my Keala Kanae review.

What's Keala Kanae been up to these days?

You're going to learn about his money-making programs with AWOL Academy being the big one. However, it appears AWOL Academy is just that - Awol... and doesn't seem to exist anymore.

On this page, i'll talk a bit about Keala's past, who he is and of course what he's selling. Fullstaq Marketer is what he's known best for at the current moment.

I'm also going to introduce you to some other money-making alternatives.

Who is Keala Kanae?

Keala Kanae is an affiliate marketer. However, unlike most affiliate marketers, he isn't really collecting commissions on products that he sells. Instead, the bulk of the money that he makes comes from instructing others how they can make money through affiliate marketing.

Basically, he is more of a 'coach' than one of the players.

Not that there is anything wrong with this. It is clear from the products that he has produced he does know what he is talking about.

In fact, the only real negative reviews about Keala Kenae produced products is the fact that they tend to have a lot of upsells as opposed to being genuine ways in which you can make money online.

Keala Kanae has probably gone through everything that he talks about. We know that he has been part of a few MLM schemes at the start of his 'making money' career, and he probably was involved in affiliate marketing too.

Keala Kanae in his house while doing video promotion

You may remember that video on Youtube shown above here.

As mentioned before, most of his money now comes from motivating others. This is through the production of instructional content, coaching, mentoring sessions, and as a public speaker. As we also said, he is a pretty big personality on YouTube, and he has a fair number of subscribers there too.

Basically, Keala Kanae isn't a 'nobody' in the world of internet marketing. He is one of the biggest there is, and his company makes millions each and every year in revenue.

Keala Kanae Early Years

Keala Kanae at his birthplace in Hawaii

Keala was born in beautiful Honolulu Hawaii. But it wasn't a beachfront home that he lived in. His parents were blue-collar workers and ended up splitting when Kanae was just 13 years old.

Keala's first taste of business was with his promotion company. He would do promotions for nightclubs in Hawaii. He saw some success, but eventually, this business went belly up.

However, Keala didn't want to give up and was inspired by some of the success he had - and wanted more.

He decided to pursue education and got his bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Hawaii.

Keala Kanae Net Worth

Keala Kanae's net worth is approximately $30-$50 Million. This is according to an article written on Huffpost.com.

He wasn't born rich like most entrepreneurs. In fact, he was quite poor at some point, not being able to pay his bills or even buy his girlfriend a birthday present.

Keala achieved success by teaching online marketing after launching AWOL Academy back in 2017.

His Personal Website Has no Content

If you go to kealakanae.com this is what you'll see:

This is not a good look. Why doesn't he have any content on the site? I thought for a second maybe someone bought the domain in hopes to sell it for a big profit from Keala himself. But, the domain name servers point to fullstaqdigital.com so it is under his control.

It blows my mind that he would not at least do a 301 redirect from this domain to his fullstaq site. I mean he's a marketer right?

Anyway, I digress.

AWOL Academy - Is it Dead?

A long time ago, Keala Kanae teamed up with Kameron George to found the Empower Network. While that company has recently filed bankruptcy, it was originally quite successful.

It accomplished pretty much the same thing that the AWOL Academy did i.e. teach you about affiliate marketing, but the Empower Network was very much the basics. All that information was rolled on over into AWOL Academy.

AWOL Academy teaches you a lot about internet marketing. It will tell you how to set up funnels to gain sales. It will teach you how to gain traffic. It will teach you how to find affiliate products (although, the course does try to get you to act as an affiliate to AWOL Academy).

There is a ton of content. It is probably one of the most-packed courses I have ever seen. The problem is that you are only going to get access to a fraction of this content if you buy in at the 'base price'.

AWOL Academy is probably one of the most expensive products out there that teaches you about digital marketing. If you want to buy everything in the course, then it would set you back at least $40,000. Nuts.

This is when you buy in at all the up sells. Of course, on top of that you need to buy all the tools that will allow you to make money with AWOL Academy. This will set you back a few thousand dollars more.

To be honest, there are some people who have made some money using AWOL Academy. The problem is that Keala Kanae doesn't really go into much depth on how much work it is going to take to make money as an affiliate marketer.

He dresses it up as a luxurious lifestyle which can make you money within days. It's unclear if he really does make good money as an affiliate marketer.

Is he instead earning money by telling other people how to do it? A lot of people got wind of this, which resulted in AWOL Academy getting a bad reputation, which resulted in the course being closed.

What is Fullstaq Marketer?

With AWOL Academy closed, Fullstaq Marketer is now the main venture for the guy that brought us AWOL Academy.

Fullstaq Marketer essentially compresses the AWOL Academy course into fewer areas. The same information is there, but the result is far fewer up sells. It comes in at a cheaper price too.

This means that if you pick up Fullstaq Marketer, you will be able to enjoy access to the instructional material telling you how to become an affiliate marketer.

Of course, you still don't get the tools that you need to do a good job, but you will have access to the knowledge that you need...which is a pretty decent start.

Fullstaq Marketer does make a few changes to AWOL Academy. Perhaps the biggest is that the program is a lot more engaging. Rather than being given a ton of information to read, you have quizzes and the like along the way.

This helps you to really absorb the information. To be honest, it also makes you a lot more motivated to complete the course. This means that you may actually end up getting something out of it.

You do need to still put in the work, but Fullstaq Marketer is still a whole lot easier to work your way through than AWOL Academy....and it is a lot cheaper too. After all, there are far fewer upsells.

So, is Fullstaq Marketer better than AWOL Academy?  I think so. Now, obviously, you are not going to get full details of the course upfront from Fullstaq Marketer.

They do make things seem a tiny little bit better than they should e.g. they call it freelance marketing, when really it should be affiliate marketing. However, the program is certainly a lot less shady than AWOL Academy.

While Keala Kanae still has a lot of work to do in order to improve his image and make it appear as if he may be able to do that...he just needs to make sure that Fullstaq Marketer goes off without a hitch.

What is the Price of Fullstaq Marketer?

This all depends on which of the digital marketing courses you choose from. It can range anywhere from $997 to $6000.

Why the huge spread?

This is because Keala's got "something for everybody". It depends on what skills you want to learn for your online business.

Fullstaq Marketer Review

If you go to the Fullstaq Marketer website, you'll see 4 courses offered. However, it looks like none of them are available for purchase. I don't see any links to buy any of them. Is it possible that Fullstaq Marketer is no more?

They do have a "contact us" button on each product, so it looks like more information and pricing is available by contacting the directly.

Here's the 4 courses that were offered:

Fullstaq Accelerator

The cost of this course is $997. This course claims that you'll find everything you need to be a full-stack marketer. It says you can build a high converting sales machine in any niche you desire.

Not every niche converts well, so I can't see how this can be applied to all niches. I don't care how good you are at sales. If there are no buyers, you aren't going to sell anything.

The following are the step-by-steps basics taught:

Fullstaq 101

This is where you'll learn freelance marketing secrets to help you accelerate your business as an online marketer.

Fullstaq Onboarding

This is where you'll tap into a community and resources to help you progress as an internet marketer.

Fullstaq Edge

Keala says that mindset is one of the most important components in training programs and teaches you this here. Learning to navigate challenges enables you with scaling online businesses.

Funnel Labs

Here, Keala shows you the way to develop a successful sales funnel.

Traffic Labs

If you bought Fullstaq Accelerator, you'll be "offered" Traffic Labs for $1997.

With these two courses combined, you're already at $3000. Traffic Labs claims that you'll get "high-converting, laser-targeted traffic" and that is "ready to buy now".

These are pretty big claims but Keala has done well with paid ads and has certainly mastered it. So it's not bad learning from a guy that has done well.

However, I think the price is quite steep.

Masters Labs

You should only consider Masters Labs if you already have a successful affiliate marketing business and you're making money online already.

This is because you will learn things like investing, money management, tax planning and more. If you don't have a successful business already, learning this is kinda moot.

The course also includes topics on mindset hacks, how to go from solopreneur to CEO and strategies on accumulating more wealth.

FullStaq Elite

Fullstaq Elite will set you back $5,800.

You won't find this page advertised though. On the sales page, you will find a "Reach Out to Us" section with an email, phone number, and a physical address to contact the team at Fullstaq Marketer.

From what I understand this package is only offered to people after contacting the support team. It's likely all the products rolled up into one.

What's a bit of a mystery, and I touched on this earlier, there are no "buy buttons" for any of these products.

It seems the only way to get any of them is to contact Fullstaq Marketer.

It seems strange that a company that is built around being a better marketer doesn't seem to want to market their own product to you. Or, is that their strategy? Only work with people that contact them directly. Perhaps the operation has shut down and they are not taking on anymore students?

Alternative Keala Kanae Training

Keala Kanae has some pretty expensive training programs that most people either can't afford or just don't feel comfortable paying for. That's why I've got some great alternatives for you.

Option #1 - Savage Affiliates by Franklin Hatchett

Franklin's course is way underpriced for what you are getting. I'm talking about almost 200 videos and 10 modules of laser-targeted affiliate marketing training from a very respected marketer. He's earned millions online and proved it by being a multiple 2-comma club winner from Clickfunnels.

So, would you like to learn from a guy that can PROVE he made a ton of money online or from some coach that you're just not sure about?

This is the course I recommend for both newbies and intermediate marketers.

I too am a member and have learned a lot from Franklin's methods which have increased my own income many times over in my affiliate marketing business.

Option #2 - The Authority Site System

If you don't want to spend money on paid ads and would like to have more of a passive income type of business, then this training program is a great option.

It teaches you how to build an "authority site" which is a website that brings in a lot of traffic, has a lot of trust, and can earn you quite a bit of money.

The training is done by having you follow along with their case study where they build a site from scratch. Training is done by the guys at Authority Hacker, who are very well known and respected in the marketing world.

Option #3 - Commission Hero

Commission Hero is by Robby Blanchard who was the #1 affiliate on Clickbank. If you're more into paid ads than writing a blog, then this course is your best option. You'll learn how to master Facebook ads, build landing pages and bank huge commissions from Clickbank.

Of all the paid ads courses there are online, I suggest Commission Hero over all the others as Robby is a proven marketer using paid ads.

Final Thoughts on my Keala Kanae Review

Much respect to Keala Kanae and what he has accomplished, despite some of the negative feedback.

I guess the question you are probably asking is, should you invest in his teaching or not?

If you are here because you are looking to become an affiliate marketer, bank that passive income in your sleep and essentially want job replacing income, you could go with Fullstaq (and pay a lot more) or go a different route.

Here are more training options for much less money and from well-established affiliate marketers.
