Make Money Online Without Investment: Is It Possible to do From Home?

First off, I want to warn you of many make money online scams out there. There is no such thing as a working get rich quick scheme and if it sounds too good to be true - it is.

I am sure you have seen many offers online to make money from home and the most common ones are envelope stuffing and paid surveys online. 

Both of these require an upfront investment. Click away from any ad that you see on this stuff!

Regarding the paid surveys online, you have to pay a fee to learn how to do this, then at the most you'll only make a few bucks per HOUR - no more than $3. That's not worth your time!

Then there's the magical software pitch. Some scammers will try to sell you a push button solution that will start generating you money in your sleep. This simply is not true! I make money in my sleep and it's from a lot of hard work, not from some "trick" or magical software. I admit back in the day I fell victim to scams like this but in a way I am glad I did - it made me aware. 

At least now I can tell you about it and spare you the trouble and wasted money. And the embarrassment in case you told someone about how you're going to be rich tomorrow lol.

So, How Can You Make REAL Money Without Any Investment?

Now that you understand the scams out there - let's discuss how you can make money (for real) without investing any money up front. I'll give you some examples too where you'll need to invest a bit, but not much. Just to greater your chances and to also be more realistic.

1. Make Money Freelancing

Got a skill that you think you can share to the world? Maybe you're great at writing, web design, logo design, coding, or even if you speak a 2nd language, you could make money online as an interpreter.

There's a few platforms that I recommend you could sign up for - all are free to join.

• Upwork
• Fiverr
• Microworkers
• People Per Hour

Check these platforms out and see what services are being offered. All have overlaps but you'll soon see some differences and you will know which site matches your skill. In many cases, you can use more than one which will give you an opportunity for even more income!

The way how these platforms work is this. You set up an account, list your service, a customer buys your service and you deliver. That's it. There are fees that you will have to pay to the site, but they are minimal. You can make a good income despite the fees. Check out their FAQ sections for more details.

I found a pretty cool course that shows you how to start a freelance business called Freelance Kickstarter. If you don't know how to do about it, this course will point you in the right direction.

2. Make Money With Your Blog

If you have a blog already and you aren't monetizing it with affiliate links, then you need to start this right away. You also can sell advertising space on your blog. 

If you don't have a blog yet, you can start a free blog on a web 2.0 platform. Places like Medium, Blogger, etc. are a good place to start. Be aware though that you don't own the property. so it could be taken down at any time. If you're heavy with affiliate links on these platforms you also could lose your site and all the work you put into it.

However, if you play safe, you shouldn't have any issues. Just be aware of their posting policies.

So if you don't have a blog yet, and the free platform scares you, there is another option and that is to start a blog that you OWN.

3. Make Money on Youtube

This is a fantastic way to make money on a platform that gets over 5 billion video views per day. The numbers are staggering. If you can capture just a miniscule portion of that traffic, you could make serious money - and with no investment.

The way to do this is to pick a niche, create a channel on that niche and find products to promote that have an affiliate program. 

You'll basically address a problem, and provide a solution. Think of "how to's" where people are actively searching in both Google and Youtube "how to" do something. Just type in "how to" and see what results auto-populate.

The best converting videos will be with you just talking to the camera. If you don't want to do that, you can do a slideshow presentation or just capture what you are showing on your screen with a voice-over.

If you are interested in making money with Youtube but you're the shy type and don't want to get on camera, there is still hope for you by making good money doing Faceless Youtube Videos.

So How Can You Be Successful Quicker?

I've given you three very legit ways to make money online without any investment. 

With exception to freelancing, the other examples all have something in common - affiliate marketing.

Chances are though, if you're reading this, you might have heard of affiliate marketing then again maybe not - I don't know what your familiarity is.

Conclusion

While yes it is possible to make money online with no investment, if you are serious about your business then you will need to invest some money. It doesn't have to be a huge investment and the type of business will also dictate the amount you have to put up.
