How to Get the Jasper AI Free Trial Step by Step

Some people get confused with some of the steps, so what I suggest is to follow along exactly as I instruct here. The free trial will open in a new window so you can use my instructions below as a reference.

Step 1 - Go to The Jasper "Special Free Trial Offer Page"

The first step to getting your free Jasper Trial is to click here to the official Jasper free trial offer page. This will open in a new window so you can follow along.

When you are there, click on the "Claim 10,000 Words Free button as seen below:

You can also click the button on the bottom right that says, "Your friend (that's me 😃) gave you 10,000 words to try Jasper for FREE.

Step 2: Create Your Account

After clicking either blue box above, you will be brought to a page where you will create your Jasper account.

You have two options to create an account. The first one is to click on the blue box that says "Continue with Google". You can use this option if you have a Gmail account.

Once you click it, the next page will look like this and ask you to sign in with your preferred Gmail email address.

Just enter your gmail email address and click next. You'll then be asked for your gmail password to login and start the sign up process. Don't worry, this is 100% safe.

The other option is to just enter your first name, last name, and email address. If you have Gmail, you can still use this option. Any email will work here.

Simply fill in your first and last name, followed by your email address and click Continue.

After you click continue, you'll then need to verifiy your email. You just need to open your email by clicking the "Open Gmail Inbox" box if you have Gmail or just open your email program as normal and look for the code.

When you have the code that was emailed to you, enter it in the box.

Once the code is entered, click on "Verify".

Whether you choose to set up your account by clicking the "continue with Google" box or by entering your first and last name and your email, you will still be prompted to answer the following questions.

Step 3 - Answer Some Basic Questions

This is where some people get confused. Under "company name" you can just put your own name if you don't have a company.

Under "Domain" you can just leave this blank if you wish. If you have a domain already, enter it here. The reason it asks for a domain is because you'll be able to use some of the advanced features within Jasper by including it here.

Don't worry, if you don't have a domain name yet, you can add it later. So for now, leave this blank.

Click "Continue".

You'll see the above asking you to choose any or all of the above options. As an example, I chose blog posts, email and website content. Your needs will be different.

If you're not sure, just choose one. The "next" button will not be clickable until one is chosen. You can always change this later. To be honest, it's not super important so don't think too hard here!

Click "Next".

You may or may not be presented with a captcha to verify your account. If you do, just check the box "I'm not a robot" to finish setting up your account.

Click "Get Started".

Step 4: Choose a Plan to Try Free for 5 Days

This is where some people get confused because they are brought to a price chart. But if you look closely, at the bottom of the "Starter" and "Boss Mode" options you will see the box "free trial".

Choose Wisely at this Stage

I strongly suggest that you start your free trial with Boss Mode. It does cost more beyond the free trial and if you decide to only get the starter package beyond your free trial you can switch before it's over.

Learn more about how to use Boss Mode here.

Either way, you will NOT be charged for 5 days. I can verifiy this personally as I went through the free trial myself and was not charged.

Another thing to look for is if you look at the top arrow in the above image, you will see an option for monthly or annually. Jarvis is cheaper on an annual plan, so if you plan on keeping it beyond the free trial and want to pay annually, then select annual.

For the free trial though, this does not matter. You won't be charged either way.

You'll also notice at the bottom of the above image it says - "we will run an authorization to verify your card". This will be removed after 2 or 3 days.

This is common practice among vendors to fight fraud. Think of it as a small "test" charge to ensure that you're legit. Jasper doesn't want to give free accounts to fraudsters. Makes sense!

So at this point, choose your plan (you want Boss Mode trust me 😃) and click "Start Free Trial"

Step 5 - Verify You Are Real by Entering Payment Details

The next step is to enter your card information, name, and address. As I mentioned before, this is just to verify you're not a bot or fraudster. You aren't being charged here.

After clicking the "start trial" button, you will be charged the full amount after 5 days. If you don't want to continue with Jasper, ensure that you cancel before the free trial ends.

Is Jasper Worth Keeping After The Trial?

The first time I took advantage of the free trial I actually cancelled Jasper (back then it was known as Jarvis).

This is because I never really understood how it worked and it didn't perform to my expectations. The one thing you need to understand is that Jasper needs to have very clear inputs from you in order to perform well.

This is why I suggest that before you start using it, take the Jasper Boot Camp which is inside Jasper. You can also watch the 10 minute demo to understand how it works.

Jasper Detailed Pricing

There are three main packages with Jasper - Starter, Boss Mode and Business.

Business pricing is not listed on the website, you'll need to contact the Jasper team for that info. But likely this does not apply to you.

For both Starter and Boss Mode plans, here is the cheapest pricing for each:

Starter Plan

The starter plan starts at $29 a month if you pay monthly. You can save 17% by paying annually, which works out to $24 a month.

The cheapest starter plan gets you 20,000 words per month. You can increase the word count with this plan which can be upgraded at any time. For example:

  • 35,000 words - $49/month
  • 60,000 words - $79/month
  • 75,000 words - $99/month
  • 115,000 words - $149/month

The above pricing is for a month to month plan, it's 17% cheaper if you pay annually.

Boss Mode Plan

The Boss Mode plan starts at $59 a month if you pay monthly. You can also save 17% by paying annually which is $49.

The cheapest Boss Mode plan gives you 50,000 words per month. Like the starter plan, you can also increase word count but the price goes up as well.

  • 100,000 words - $99/month
  • 300,000 words - $279/month
  • 700,000 words - $600/month

The above pricing is on a monthly plan, you can also save 17% by choosing an annual plan.

I strongly suggest going with Boss Mode if you want to get full use out of Jasper. With Boss Mode, you can write full blog posts and even a complete book if you wish.

The starter plan is really just for short-form content like product descriptions, ads, short form copy and so on.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Is the Jasper Free Trial?

The free trial only lasts for 5 days. However, during this period you'll be able to produce a total of 10,000 words. You should take advantage of the free training within Jasper so that you will use the free words as efficiently as possible.

What is Included in the Free Trial?

All the features of either the "Starter" plan or the "Boss Mode" plan are included. Remember that the 10,000 words are counted for all the different templates that you use.

The trial does not include Jasper Art, which is a new feature. This allows you to create artwork created by Jasper. You can add this later for $20 a month if you decide to keep Jasper after the trial.

Do you need a credit card to activate the free jasper trial?

Yes, a credit card is needed. This is mostly for verification purposes. Because using the platform can put stress on the network that Jasper operates on, it needs to be controlled by verifying that the free trials are only given out to legitimate users. One way to prove this is by authenticating a credit card.

Does Jasper accept Paypal for the free trial??

No, at the moment Jasper does not accept paypal as a form of verification for the free trial, nor can you have a subsription using Paypal.

Does your credit card get charged automatically after the trial?

Your credit card will only be charged if you do NOT cancel the free trial. If you don't plan on keeping Jasper, ensure that you cancel before the 5 days is up, otherwise your credit card will be charged.

The amount depends on the package you signed up for. For example if you chose the Boss Mode plan, you will charged the rate at which your plan has been set. Keep in mind that for both the starter plan and boss plan the plans become more expensive with the number of words set.

How do I cancel my Jasper ai free trial?

To cancel you must do this before your 5 day trial expires. You can do this right inside your account by clicking the cog icon on the bottom left, then choose "billing" at the top. You can also email the support team to cancel your trial at [email protected].

Can you extend the free trial?

There is no option to extend the free trial. However you can contact support to see if they can accomodate this request.

Is there a lifetime deal on Jasper?

No, at the moment there is no lifetime deal on Jasper.

Is Jasper Art included with the free trial?

No, Jasper Art is a separate service offered by Jasper that allows you to create original artwork images to use on your website, social media posts, email etc. It is not included in the free 5-day trial.
