Private Label Masters Review: Is Tim Sander’s Course Legit?

Private Label Masters from Tim Sanders is a brand-course that will, supposedly, help you to become far better at Amazon FBA.

So, is it worth purchasing? That is what I want to look at in this Private Label Masters review.

What is Private Label Masters?

Private Label Masters is a course that teaches you about Amazon FBA. You will be selling through Amazon and sourcing suppliers from sites such as Alibaba. However, you will be branding these products as 'your' products, hence the term 'Private Label'.

Who is Tim Sanders?

To be honest, there is very little that is known about Tim Sanders. Obviously, he is a marketer, but he is not really one of the more prominent voices in the business.

You likely would have seen his Youtube ads so that's probably where you have heard of him.

He seems to take somewhat of a backseat role. Most of his work does seem to be focused on being a consultant, as opposed to actually practicing what he preaches.

Not that this is necessarily a bad thing!

He does have a YouTube channel that seems to have managed to gain a small amount of success, and I have certainly picked up a decent amount of information from his channel.

Although, do bear in mind that most of his channel really is going to be focused on trying to get you to buy this product, so do not expect it to give you all of the answers,

While I searched 'far and wide' to get a rough idea of the net worth of Tim Sanders, I couldn't find that much information. However, he does claim that he generated over $8-million last year. I have no idea how accurate this figure is. If it is accurate, then I doubt it is his personal income, and more that of his clients.

The Modules in Private Label Masters

Perhaps the best way to get a feel for what this course offers is to just jump right into the modules that it has.

There are a few of them. I am going to try and give you the best overview possible.

This way you can make an informed decision as to whether Private Label Masters is right for you or not.

Do bear in mind that all of these modules come in the form of video. There is no text to read through, so I suggest you check out Tim's YouTube channel to get a feel for his presenting style.

Module 1 - Introduction

This is the typical introduction module for a product like this.

Tim makes it clear right off the bat that the method he is going to share with you will take a serious amount of work to get 'off the ground'.

He does not claim this to be a scheme that can help you to get rich or anything like that. He will straight-up tell you that you should be following his course for at least 6-months before you start to see any money from it.

He will go through how to start up a business, but do be aware that this is something that is going to be more focused on the American market.

He will then wrap up with a bit of information on the fees Amazon charges, and give you an idea as to which products you probably should be avoiding because they are far more trouble than they are worth.

Of course, he also tries to give you an idea as to how to get your mind in the right place for running a business. This seems to be a staple in courses like this nowadays.

Module 2: Product Research

This is the largest section of the course, with over 3-hours of videos to sink your teeth into.

As the name suggests, this module goes into a lot of depth on finding the right products to sell online. Tim is going to go into more depth on the products that are simply never going to sell.

You will also have an idea about trademarks and why you should be avoiding any products that have a trademark in place. In fact, he provides you with the information you need to actually avoid said products.

There will be a lot of information on finding products that have low competition, but high potential sales. This part of the course is really going to be worth it if you know absolutely nothing about product sourcing.

All in all, this is a decent module that contains a lot of information that other courses do not seem to cover.

Module 3: Product Sourcing

The third module is going to send you on over to Alibaba.

Do bear in mind that while there are plenty of places that you can source your products from, you will only learn how to use Alibaba here.

Although, since it is the largest product sourcing platform in the world, this is probably not going to be that much of an issue.

The bulk of this section of the course will be learning how to identify which suppliers are going to be the right ones for your business and for your product. You will also learn a significant amount of information on how to build up relationships with these suppliers.

I actually find that this is one of the more important parts of the course. It ensures that if you do run into any issues, they will be kept to the minimum as you will be working with a supplier that you know and trust.

You will also learn how to negotiate discounts with these suppliers, hopefully making more money for your business as a result.

Module 4: Shipping

This is a module that most other courses do not seem to go into. That is odd, because when you are running an Amazon FBA business, shipping is absolutely vital!

Here, you will learn about different shipping methods & freight forwarding and all the details behind this process.

Module 5: Branding & Listing Optimization

This is where you can start to focus on building up your business. A good proportion of this module will be dedicated to establishing a brand.

In addition to this, you will learn a ton about how to optimize your listings for Amazon. This means ensuring that not only do your products get found on the site, but will help you to get ahead of your competition and sell more.

Module 6: Product Launch Time

This module goes 'into depth' on the best way to launch a brand new product on the Amazon marketplace.

You have an awesome timeline that you can follow to ensure that you do everything properly. While the product launch timeline will not guarantee success, it will certainly up your chances of success on the platform.

Module 7: Sponsored Products

In module 7, you will start to learn how to use Amazon PPC to promote your products. You will need to spend a little bit of your own cash to make this work but, if you follow Tim's advice, then you will likely make that all back.

It is worth noting that this is the only traffic generation method that Tim talks about. You will not learn any other ways to generate traffic to your products, which is actually a massive shame. It could have made this course so much better than it is.

Module 8: Maintain and Scaling Your Business

This module is all about scaling your business up. It is about launching more products. It is about bringing in people that can help you to make more money.

It will be a long time before you need to use the information in this module but, once you get to that point, you will be glad that it exists.

This is somewhat of a staple module for courses like this nowadays. Although, Tim does seem to go into a bit more depth than some of the other products I have seen.

Facebook Group

If you're not a member of his course yet, you can still join one of 2 Facebook Groups. The "free" version is a group where you can get more information on the course and the other is a private group only open to members.

Conclusion and Final Thoughts

Private Label Masters is a quality course.

While it is going to be lacking in certain sections, namely the traffic generation methods, Tim does a good job of introducing you to the way that the world of Amazon FBA works.

However, do bear in mind that as brilliant as his course is, it's not for beginners.

There also is no training on retail or online arbitrage, which is a cheaper way to sell on Amazon and less risky. Of course, the name of the course itself is "private label" so this makes it a moot point.

If you are an absolute beginner, I think you'd do better with the Proven Amazon Course.  You can start now for just $29 - which gives you full access and is RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP!

I also bought that course and you can read my review here.

For those with deep pockets that really want the best training, there is no better course out there than the Amazing Selling Machine. I bought the course and did a full review on it. ASM is the Crème de la crème of AMAZON FBA Courses!

Having an alternative to consider is very wise of you! 🙂

  1. Hello Drew. Thanks so much for this review. I’ve been tempted with Tim Sanders program. Has anything changed since your 2022 fall review? It’s a shame he wouldn’t teach more about traffic generation. Tim comes across as fairly honest and not flashy on IG so I was leaning towards him. Thanks
