Ecom Uprise 2.0 Review: Is Sam Jacobs Course Worth it?

18 year old Youtube sensation Sam Jacobs has just released Ecom Uprise 2.0, his Shopify dropshipping course.  

Today we’re going to review his course and to see if it is worth the $997 he’s asking for.

This original review was written back in August of 2019 and lots has happened since then. From what I can see, Ecom Uprise 2.0 is no longer being sold.

You can buy pirated versions for cheap online, but why would you do that if the course is massively outdated?

I am not sure why Sam Jacobs no longer offers his course, but from looking at his Youtube Channel it has become clear.  There are just 4 videos up spread out over 3 months. The topics do cover dropshipping and the latest being advertising on TikTok.

Upon futher investingation, it looks like Sam Jacobs is into trading stocks and Crypto now. He's even got a course on it.

So it's safe to say Sam Jacobs has abandoned dropshipping altogether.

Since eCom Uprise is no longer being offered, don't fret! I have a great alternative to tell you about that is not only available but is a much better course. See it here.

So Just Who is Sam Jacobs?

Sam is an up and coming Youtuber who has had an active channel for about a year now. Being as young as he is, he seemed to accomplish quite a bit for such a young age.  His channel currently has around 3000 subscribers and growing.

Some of the free stuff he teaches on his channel include topics like Facebook ads, how to find hot selling products, reviews on a multimillion dollar Shopify store, new targeting methods and more.

The sales page for his course boasts about how one of his students went from working at Wendy’s to making $300,000 per month.  You’re probably savvy enough to know that this is not all profit as drop shipping profits range from the 20 to 30% mark.  Still, that’s pretty damn good for a Wendy’s employee!

The question is, should you buy into the Sam Jacobs brand and can someone so young be trusted?  Has he just had a lot of luck and capitalized on the lucrative market of course creation in such a short period of time? Or is he legitimate and really wants to pass his knowledge on to other people?

Let’s take a look at the course contents.

Ecom Uprise 2.0 Modules & Review

The contents of the course includes 8 modules.  In total you’re looking at about 55 lessons.  All the teaching is done in video format in high quality for easy viewing.

Module 1 – Million Dollar Mindset

This first module is essentially an introductory module and thankfully Sam had the foresight to include mindset videos in the welcome video and not make it a separate module dedicated only to mindset.  This module includes how to join the Facebook Group and an introduction to drop shipping for newbies who may not know all aspects of this business model.

Next, he will jump into the whole mindset process and how to stay motivated throughout the course and when you apply what you have learned.

Module 2 – Creating a 6-Figure Store From Scratch

In this module you’ll find 11 videos on how to create a Shopify store from scratch. Here you are going to find the typical videos found in most dropshipping courses on store setup.

You going to learn whether you should create a niche vs. a general store, how to import products, what apps you should use (get a premium theme and ditch the apps if I were you) what pages you should include, Shopify store reviews, how to fulfill orders using Oberlo and other similar topics all required for store setup.

This module encompasses typical store setup strategy that I’ve found in most courses and doesn’t really deviate or have anything special.

Module 3 – Finding Million Dollar Winner Shopify Products

Before jumping into the course contents of this module I must say that Sam really has some catchy module names that in my opinion are a little misleading.  Sure, it’s possible to create a six figure store or find $1,000,000 winning products,

I just think he should take it easy on the titles and not include numbers because results are going to vary depending how much work you put into this and also how lucky you might be. Yes, luck does kinda factor into dropshipping. If you're a lucky person this might be for you! lol.

Anyway, in this module you’ll get an overview of winning products, how Instagram influencers can help you find winning products, some examples of best selling products and strategies on the secret “popup” and “feed method.” You’ll also get some instruction on product research softwares.

Module 4 – Instagram Influencers A-Z Guide

In this module you’re going to learn how to utilize Instagram influencers to market your products.  The focus is on how you can go from $0.00 to $3000 a day with his Instagram strategies.  Again, some lofty claims here again.

The contents include an overview on influencers, what apps you should get for IG, fulfilling orders, scaling, marketing on IG and ad copy.

Module 5 -  Facebook Ads Blueprint for Beginners

Module five and six are dedicated to Facebook Ads.  In module five though, it’s geared towards beginners. 

In this module you’re going to learn basic things like setting up your Facebook ads, finding the right interest group for your ad, creating ad copy, analyzing data, customizing your columns, video ads and how to outsource them, testing with a low budget, and how to deal with clicks but no sales.

A lot of this basic stuff can be found online through other youtube videos.  However for someone that is new you will get something out of the section.

Module 6 – Advanced Facebook Ads & Massive Scaling

Surprisingly this section is smaller than module five with only seven videos.  The topics discussed in this section include how to set up custom audiences and retargeting, how to scale your ads, when to kill an ad or scale it up, how to get social proof and more sales from your ad, massive scaling and manual bidding.

Overall I found the Facebook training decent but there was only 17 videos in total for both modules.  When you look at a course like eCom Elites that has over 30 videos alone in Facebook training and costs much less than Ecom Uprise, it makes you wonder if he’s in it just for the money.

Module 7 – Maximizing Profits With Your Backend

This module goes over how to setup email marketing automations and how to market multiple items to your customers increasing the chances of getting more sales.

You’ll also learn a strategy on how to use text messaging to close up to 20% of the customers that have abandoned your cart.

Module 8 – Advanced Dropshipping Tactics

In this final section you going to learn some tactics in advanced drop shipping.  There’s three videos here on the “Power Pixel”, Chatbot Marketing and a marketing tool known as Vyper.

Bonuses

If you decide to grab the course you also get a couple bonuses.  The first one is a six figure dropshipping success ebook that supposedly worth $295 which I doubt.  

The next bonus really shouldn’t be a bonus at all and that’s access to the private Facebook chat group.  A Facebook Group should be standard with any course and not marketed as a bonus.  Especially one that costs about $1000.

Thoughts Sam Jacob’s Course

 Many other dropshipping courses will offer additional strategies such as Google Ads, Google Shopping, sales funnels,  SEO traffic, free traffic strategies, Pinterest and other social sites marketing strategies and more.

eCom Elites is going to give you training with over 200 videos and will include everything you need to know to start your drop shipping business to a successful level.  Whether you are a newbie or an advanced drop-shipper, you’re going to learn a lot from this course.

I prefer that you have all the information and strategies at your disposal rather than shelling out a grand for something that’s kinda basic.
