iPro Academy Review: Is Fred Lam a Scam or Legit?

The iPro Academy has 20 programs, including  the 21 day eCom Challenge all included in this review

Have you heard of iPro Academy by Fred Lam?

This is probably one of the more comprehensive 'online schools' for learning how to create an online business.

On this page, I want to talk about the various courses on offer through iPro Academy and whether or not you should invest in any of them. Is it worth it or just a scam?

Let's find out.

What is iPro Academy?

According to Fred Lam, iPro = Internet Professionals.

The iPro Academy is not a singular product as such. Instead, it is a brand name for around 20 different courses. Each of the courses has been designed to teach something different related to internet marketing.

For example; iPro Academy has courses on eCommerce, Facebook Ads, Dropshipping, and Media Buying (this is just a small fraction of the courses available)

The intention of iPro Academy is to create a brand that is the 'go-to' resource for everything related to making money online...and Fred has done a pretty decent job of it.

Who is Fred Lam?

You may have seen Fred Lam on YouTube. He has around 89,000 subscribers, and the number is always rising. He has millions of views across all of his YouTube videos.

Fred is an online marketer. He has a wealth of experience under his belt, as well as several books he has launched over the years.

He is a fantastic tutor, mostly because he is one of a few online marketers that actually practice what they preach.

He does a brilliant job at conveying even the most complicated of information in a simple manner too.

If you check out his YouTube channel, it should give you a feel for his teaching style. It is friendly, while also ensuring that you get the information you need to thrive when it comes to making money online.

iPro Academy Overview

There are a lot of different courses in iPro Academy.

In this section, I am going to go through each of them. Sort of a mini-review.

I want to tell you what each brings to the table, so you get a fairly decent idea about what Fred offers and if it matches with what you want to do.

Google Playbook Display

This $297 course teaches you exactly how to generate cheap traffic through Google display advertising (i.e. Google AdWords).

It will teach you exactly how to create ads that convert well and make you money.

While you are not going to be learning about creating the landing pages here, you will be able to learn a little bit about ad copywriting.

You will also learn how to read data to ensure that you are getting the biggest bang for your buck from your ad campaign.

Leads Hunter

This course includes a live coaching component, hence why the price is a little bit higher than some of the other products out there.

The entire purpose of Leads Hunter is to teach you how to generate leads. In fact, it is not just going to teach you how to gain leads, it is going to teach you how to sell them on for huge amounts of profit.

A lot of people regard this as one of the best lead generation courses on the market, and it is tough to argue with that statement.

  • Costly! $2495 or 3 payments of $997
  • Includes 7 week live coaching
  • 1 year free access to LeadsTunnel Software
  • 7-Figure LeadsHunter Directory
  • Facebook community & more

Dropship Leads Academy

This course is much the same as the previous one, only without the live coaching aspect.

This means that you will be learning how to gain leads for businesses, and then you will sell them on.

This course claims that it can make you around $50 per lead. According to the course, it will cost you $10 per lead, That's a $40 profit for each so not a bad payday.

If working with clients excites you, then it's worth looking at.

This course costs $497

eCom Challenge

In eCom Challenge, you will be learning how to create an eCommerce store from the ground up. You will learn everything you need to do know to create a store that can generate six-figures a year.

The course claims that it will take 21-days before you start to see a profit.

As with most eCommerce courses, the process is simple. You work out what the most profitable niches are, then you source the products, build the site, and then get traffic to it.

This course will cost you $297. By all accounts, it is on a major discount right now, so you may end up needing to pay more later on if you opt not to enroll now.

FB Leads Formula

This course is pretty simple. It teaches you how to generate leads for your email list using Facebook ads.

This means that you will learn how to use FB ads to find your audience, and then learn how to craft an ad to drive people to your email sign-up form.

It is a pretty simple process. It has been designed in such a way that you will be able to enjoy these leads for an incredibly low price. It really does help to unlock the secrets of Facebook marketing.

This course costs $497.

Coding for Profit

This course is just $27. This makes it one of the cheaper paid courses offered by iPro Academy.

This course has been designed for anybody that owns a Shopify store. In this course, you will learn how to make minor edits to the code of Shopify. These are small edits that other Shopify store owners will also be more than happy to pay you for.

You do not need to have any coding experience in order to make the most from this course, which is fantastic. You will learn the absolute basics of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. This should provide you with most of what you need to make money with Shopify coding.

It is taught by Christopher Burgess, one of Fred Lam's trainers.

Chatbot Boot Camp

This is a free course.

This course is for anybody that runs their business through Facebook. You will learn how to use chatbots to automate the vast majority of the interactions with your customers.

This means more time for you to focus on the other aspects of your business, while also allowing your customers to feel as if they are getting the help that they need.

FB Playbook Advanced

This course normally retails for $97, but it goes on sale fairly often.

This course will teach you how to create Facebook ads that help to make money. It has, mostly, been designed for those people that already have some sort of Facebook advertising campaign in place.

It teaches you how to scale up your advertising campaign. However, there is enough information loaded into the FB Playbook that you will be able to create a campaign from scratch too.

Google Playbook Basics

If you are new to Google advertising, then this is probably the best place to get started. While it doesn't go into the advanced concepts, it will tell you how to use Google AdWords properly.

You are going to learn how to create your first profitable campaign with Google. In fact, for many, this $97 course is all they need to start to generate whopping amounts of income with their business.

6 B.S. Framework

This is a rather unique course because it runs you through the basics of creating several different businesses.

Obviously, it is not going to tell you everything that you need to know about creating these businesses, but it should be some decent 'starter' information.

Businesses Framework includes:

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Dropshipping
  • Review websites
  • Presell articles
  • Email marketing
  • Lead generation
  • Amazon

For the cost, there is a surprising amount of information loaded into this course.

This course just costs $47. Do not expect to be a guru in each line of business if you get this course. It's really just an overview of each.

eCom Studio

This course costs just $7.

As you can expect form the price, this is a rather simple course.

The main intention is to teach you how to create videos that convert, mostly for eCommerce sites, but I see no reason why something like this also couldn't be used for affiliate marketing.

Bing Ads Playbook

This will cost either $47 or $97, depending on the version of the course you choose.

As far as I am aware, this is one of only a few products out there that teaches you how to use Bing ads.

It is crazy since a lot of people do use Bing (contrary to popular belief). Of course, this will work in your favor, because if you follow this course, you will be able to enjoy cheap ads that will give you a greater return on your investment.

Influencer Masterclass

In this course, you will learn about influencer marketing. This means using people that have massive followings on social media to drive traffic to your site.

Obviously, this sort of thing can cost a rather sizeable sum of cash, so this course will also teach you how to find the influencers that do not cost as much but still drive traffic towards your eCommerce store.

This is probably one of the better influencer marketing courses out there.

This course will cost you $497 or 3 payments of $197 per month.

This is a simple course that will teach you the basics of running an eCommerce store. The bulk of the videos (in the 12-week part of the course) teach you about generating traffic, mostly through social media, but it does touch upon concepts that other online courses do not seem to touch upon all that much.

It is not a complete course for eCommerce by any stretch of the imagination, but there is enough here to help you get your businesses off of the ground.

Cost of the course is a measily $49.

FB Playbook

This course costs just $7.

This is the simplest of the Facebook advertising courses offered by iPro Academy.

Surprisingly, for the price you are paying, there should be a decent amount of information to sink your teeth into here.

While you are not really going to be learning the most advanced concepts of Facebook advertising, there should be more than enough to teach you the ins and outs of how it works.

Print Profits

This course is valued at $997.

In this course, you will learn how to build up a dropshipping business. Not just any dropshipping business, though. You will be learning how to create a 'print on demand' business.

Literally everything that you need to know about doing this is covered in Print Profits. This means establishing your niche, putting together your designs, finding suppliers to work with, and driving traffic to your site.

If you put the tips in Print Profits into action and with a little luck, you could do very well in this business. Do it only if this excites you and you also have a "creative" side as it will surely help.

I did a separate review on print profits that you can also check out.

Adtrics Academy

This course will set you back $2,495.

This is a complete course on media buying. While I am not going to go into everything that this entails (it is a rather in-depth course), all you really need to know is that this is a course that teaches you about paid advertising. It is probably one of the most comprehensive courses out there too.

Everything is covered. It takes a rather data-driven approach to media buying (which is what you should be doing) in order to generate the biggest returns on your investment.

This is not a cheap course by any stretch of the imagination, but it is the perfect course for those that want to learn how to take their business to the next level.

Print Profits Bootcamp

This is a free course. It is the precursor to the main Print Profits product. Here, you will start to learn the basics of creating a 'print on demand' dropshipping business.

It is really there to give you a feel as to what the main course brings to the table.

Zero Up

This course costs $1,997.

This is a 5-step course for creating an eCommerce store that pretty much runs itself.

This teaches you how to source products, advertise your business, and automate various aspects so you can get pretty close to a passive income.

Zero Up Lite

This is the free version of the previous course.

You will learn a few elements of running a successful eCommerce business. Of course, this is part of a funnel designed to get you to purchase the far more expensive course.

There is still plenty of useful information in here, though.

As you can see; there are a lot of courses available from iPro Academy. Some of them are pretty decent too.

If there's ever a serial course creator out there, it's definitely Fred Lam. I can't blame him though, people are hungry to start a business online and he covers just about everything in iPro Academy.

While Fred is a brilliant marketer, I just can't shake the icky feeling of him just trying to sell as many courses as possible to squeeze as much money out of people as he can.

I prefer specialists in the fields of different business like in affiliate marketing or dropshipping/ecommerce.

So before you decide on one of Fred's courses (either taught by him or another instructor) do consider alternatives from those that specialize in a certain line of business.
