Salehoo Review (2024) – Is it Legit and Worth it?

Welcome to my Salehoo Review. I promise not to disappoint as I have a Salehoo membership so i'll be able to demonstrate the product for you to see if it's something you should buy or not. 

Although Salehoo offers help with finding products and low cost suppliers for people that sell on Ebay, Amazon, personal blogs, etc., we are going to focus on how Salehoo can benefit you for your ecommerce & drop shipping store. 

You are able to find wholesalers as well, where you can buy in bulk and have it shipped directly to you.

Most people that are new to the drop shipping game focus on finding products just on Aliexpress. There's nothing wrong with that as it's a great place to find products and drop shippers. 

Having a variety of drop shippers that are vetted by a third party outside of Aliexpress is a great advantage to have. Essentially, this is what Salehoo does.

What is Salehoo?

Salehoo is an online resource for eCommerce marketers. The Salehoo Directory platform is a directory to find suppliers that sell on eBay, Amazon, and other online stores.

They also have a tool called Salehoo Dropship to find inexpensive dropship products from sellers.

Salehoo also has courses under Salehoo Educate. If you lack training, you can subscribe to one of their courses to help you with your business.

Let's get into more details about these three main category offerings of Salehoo.

1. Salehoo Directory

The Salehoo Directory is Salehoo's main product and what they are known for. It is a directory that connects you with dropship or wholesale suppliers vetted by Salehoo. It's a great resource for online entrepreneurs who are looking for their own suppliers with quality, affordable merchandise to sell on their websites.

The platform has over 8,000 suppliers listed in its directory and 300,000 products, so it's easy to find what you're looking for. And because Salehoo is a verified and trusted source, you can be sure that you're getting high-quality products at competitive prices.

Whether you're just starting out in eCommerce or you're looking to expand your product offering, Salehoo is a great resource to have in your arsenal.

2. Salehoo Dropship

Salehoo Dropship is a new dropship automation tool to use for Shopify store owners. With this tool y0u can:

Do you Need Salehoo?

Current online retailers and newbies can benefit from Salehoo.

If you're looking to start a dropshipping business on Shopify or if you want to sell on Amazon, Ebay, Etsy or some other platform, it could be a good investment.

The Salehoo directory is going to cut down on your research time and if the $67 fee doesn't bug you, it's a no-brainer for even a noob. It also allows you to search for products outside of the conventional Aliexpress route that EVERYONE else is doing, so you do have an advantage out of the gate. 

Both Salehoo Dropship and Salehoo Education are separate products so technically you could seek alternatives for both. Most people that are aware of Salehoo think of them mostly as a directory for suppliers. If you are having trouble finding suppliers and products outside of traditional methods, then yes, Salehoo could be a worthwhile investment.

Is Salehoo for Beginners?

Yes, Salehoo was designed with beginners in mind. Whether it's the directory, Salehoo Dropship, or Salehoo Education, all are designed to make it easy for newbies to understand.

Even if you are an advanced e-commerce marketer, you'll definitely benefit from the Salehoo directory to find legit suppliers. It's not just for beginners.

How Much Does Salehoo Cost?

The price of Salehoo depends on the product. As you now know, there are 3 products offered in Salehoo. So let's break down the price for each.

Salehoo Directory Price:

The Salehoo directory costs $67 USD a year or $127 USD for lifetime access.

Salehoo Dropship Price:

There are two pricing options for Salehoo Dropship. There is a basic version that is ideal for 1-2 people and costs $27 a month or $270 billed annually.

If you get the annual version, it will cost you just $22.50 a month, saving you $4.50 a month.

The Basic package would be for someone running their own store with possibly a VA. You're allowed one sub-account with this version.

There's also a "Premium" version which is for a larger business that allows 3 sub accounts.

The premium version is $97 a month or $970 yearly. If you pay yearly, it works out to $80.83 a month, saving you $16.16 a month.

Refund Policy

There is a different refund policy for each product that Salehoo has. Let's go through them here.

Salehoo Directory Refund Policy

The Salehoo Directory has the most generous refund policy of all the products. If you're not satisfied, you can ask for a refund within 60 days. There are no questions asked and no conditions for refunds.

Salehoo Dropship Refund Policy

With Salehoo Dropship, you can ask for a refund within 30 days and you'll get your money back. Again, no questions asked so it's totally risk-free.

Salehoo Educate Refund Policy

The Salehoo Educate refund policy is a bit different. They call it a "100% Satisfaction Guarantee". There doesn't seem to be a time frame here. All that's expected of you is to just email them and ask for a refund.

Salehoo Directory Review: How it Works

Let's dive into the features and benefits of the Salehoo Directory to see if it's for you.

Salehoo Onboarding

Once you pay for your membership and get access to the directory, you'll be prompted to answer 4 questions to help better understand what you are looking to accomplish. These are:

Once you make your choices, you're all set and can start using all the features which we will go over next.

The Dashboard

The dashboard is the default page in the directory. The first thing you can do is if you have a product in mind, you can enter it, choose the desired category, then click search.

Browse All Suppliers

Here is an example search I tried with "phone tripod" under the "Mobile Phones" category. You can refine your search by:

If you find something you like and in the specific country it ships from, you can get more info on the seller.

For example, I chose this product. The Seller is based in the USA.

When you click on "view supplier" at the bottom, you'll get the name and website of the dropshipper, address, and a button to contact them:

When you click on "Contact Supplier" you'll get their email address and phone number. What I also like is that it will show if they are responsive to email or not.

You also get an overview of the company including how long they've been in business and what other products they carry. You can also mark them as a favorite supplier and even add notes for future reference.

Remember, any dropshipper listed on Salehoo already meets the Salehoo trust requirements.

Already Know What to Sell?

If you already know what you want to sell, you can just click on "go to Directory".

You'll then be presented with all the different product categories. Clicking any of these will bring up suppliers for that particular category.

For this example, I will click on "Home and Garden" and see what comes up.

To refine your search, the left side can be drilled down further to open more categories in home & garden. You can then choose the supplier type, location and if they ship worldwide.

Salehoo Market Research Lab (Salehoo Labs)

If you're not sure what to sell, the final search within the dashboard allows you to get inspiration from trending products in the market research lab.

Market Research Labs takes product data and recent sales from Amazon, eBay and AliExpress to suggest top-selling products to you.

On top of that, it will also tell you which suppliers to use to source these products.

Salehoo Labs is updated every day with fresh, new product ideas. This allows you to research among the hottest, top-selling products only.

To find some product ideas, adjust the filters as you wish. The filters are:

Once you find a product you like, you'll be able to find sellers of that product and contact them directly.

Trending Suppliers

If you click on the "directory" tab in Salehoo, you'll get a list of Trending Suppliers. These are suppliers that are starting to get a lot of traction with Salehoo users.

Also listed are "Today's Featured Suppliers" and "Recently Added Suppliers.

You can see that these popular suppliers all ship worldwide, do dropshipping and wholesale orders, and have no minimum order as well.

Ability to Save Your Searches

Another feature I like is that any supplier you view can be saved. When you go to directly/saved suppliers, you can view them later.

Considering there are over 8000 suppliers, this is a great feature to have so you won't go scrambling to find them later!

Choose From Over 8,000 Trusted Drop Ship Suppliers

You'll be able to find the right dropshipper within Salehoo. These companies are kept within their database and have all been vetted through their own vigorous process.

You will be able to get the drop shippers' contact information, see their range of products, quality levels, where and how they ship, and even see customer service reviews. If you've ever had to deal with a nightmare supplier, you can be confident that all the ones provided by Salehoo are legit.

Here's a screenshot in the member's area where you can see how easy it is to contact suppliers. It's all done within the interface.

As a dropshipper yourself, you can sort the suppliers on Salehoo via minimum orders. Many suppliers offer very low or zero minimum orders.

Some suppliers require an application fee, but stay clear of them and just focus on the 70% of suppliers that don't require this. 

So as we can see, whatever niche you are in, you should have no problems finding a dropshipping supplier.

Advantages of the Salehoo Directory

As an ecom store owner, you need to always keep your eyes open for new and exciting products and be able to spot trends. This takes a lot of practice, trial and error and it doesn't always work out but you become less prone to making mistakes when you get good at it.

Salehoo has a section where a team collects data on sales, profits, and trends. As a Salehoo member, you get access to this product data so you can see what products are selling.

This certainly is a great help to the newbies in drop shipping as you'll be able to cut down on manual product research. Although you should still do this, having Salehoo do the legwork for you is a great way to find potential winning products.

Below I show you one of the features of the Research Lab where you can find products and see how they are doing. In this example, I chose the niche "home improvement" with a sale rate up to 25% and cost from $0 - $45. I also included low, medium, and high competition which you can also further drill down to. (sorry it's a bit blurry!)

Is the Salehoo Directory Worth it?

I don't know about you, but when I started my first drop shipping store it was in the general niche and although i got some great ecom training I still wish I had an easier way to find products and drop shippers. 

I didn't know about Salehoo at the time but wish I did. Don't get me wrong though - it's essential to understand how to do product research and have a great chance at finding winning products on your own, but Salehoo kinda compliments this whole process in my mind.

Even if you find a product on Aliexpress, you can use the Salehoo tools to see how it's doing on the market. 

The staff at Salehoo are also very willing to help. Their whole platform is built with you, the customer in mind - to achieve success. After all, they want you to renew their $67 / year membership and that's not gonna happen with a bad product.

Training and support is managed by experts in the field of e-commerce who manage their own stores and have done well, they aren't just trained staff they picked up from the street.

So yes, Salehoo is worth it and takes away a lot of the headaches and challenges of finding suppliers for your online store.

Are there Alternatives to Salehoo Directory?

Yes, Worldwide Brands is a direct competitor with Salehoo. However, they don't have a trial or monthly payment options. It's a one-time fee of $197.

If you're new, I think it's best to start off with a low monthly fee which Salehoo has. You can always consider other options down the road as your store becomes more successful.

Salehoo Dropship Review

Now let's move on to my Salehoo Dropship review.

What is Salehoo Dropship?

Salehoo dropship was created to help online sellers make running their businesses more effectively. As a member of Salehoo Dropship, you get access to a curated product directory from thousands of low-cost, reliable suppliers.

Salehoo Dropship connects directly with your Shopify store. You will be importing products from AliExpress

Who is Salehoo Dropship For?

Salehoo Dropship is for store owners and dropshippers that sell on the Shopify platform. It does not matter your skill level, you can be either a beginner or an advanced owner of an e commerce business.

Who is Salehoo Dropship Not For?

Salehoo Dropship is not for those that do not use the Shopify platform. If your online store is on another platform, you will need to use the Salehoo Directory instead.

How to Connect Your Shopify Store?

You can connect your store either with the full Shopify URL (your-store.myshopify.com) or without the top-level domain (your-store) or your full domain (your-store.com).

Once you connected your store, you'll have to install the Salehoo Dropship App.

Advantages of Salehoo Dropship

There are a few advantages of using Salehoo Dropship.

Ability to Set Pricing Controls

With pricing controls, you can set your prices to increase automatically once they are imported to your store.

There are a few options here.

First, you can increase the cost with the multiplier. For example, if you enter a value of 3 (pictured below) and the cost of the product is $10, then the retail price will automatically be $30.

The cost of the product can also be increased with a fixed markup. For example if you set this value at 5, then if the product you upload has a cost (your cost) of $10, then the retail price on your store will automatically become $15.

There's also an option to set "Product Compare at Price". I'm sure you've seen ads where you've seen products that show "sold at other stores for x amount" or something like that. This is nothing more than playing a psychological game. It makes people think they are getting a better deal by buying from you.

Find Local Products With the Shortest Shipping Times

Salehoo Dropship allows you to find local products with short shipping times. This is a huge pain point for many customers - waiting for their products!

This way, you can source products locally so that your customers will get them quick.

To do this, choose a category, select the country you want to ship to and select the same country to "ship from", then you can also sort at the top right with "delivery estimate".

You'll then get all the products that ships locally. You'll see the estimated shipping times, stock levels and how many orders that product has had already.

How to Add Products to Shopify With Salehoo Dropship

To add products to your store automatically, you'll need to import products to your "import list" first.

The first thing to do is to search for some products. Let's say you have a store that specializes in baby products.

You simply type in "baby" in the search box and you'll get a bunch of products to choose from. If you find a product you'd like to sell, just click on the plus (+) sign to add it to your list as seen below:

After you chose the products you like, they are added to your list. Keep in mind that you can remove these too. None of these products will be imported to your store until you tell the system to do so.

For each product, you can change the title, add the product to an existing collection and write a new description.

Shipping Options

When you click on the Shipping Options tab, you will be able to see the price and time differences between different countries. This allows you a lot of flexibility to decide on which shipper is best for your customer.

Pricing and Variants

Under Pricing and Variants, you're able to adjust the price if you wish. It will automatically adjust the price based on the price multiplier you set in the previous step.

When you click on this tab, it will show all the images for your product(s). You can add or delete photos here if you wish.

Salehoo Educate Review

This is the 3rd product offering from Salehoo. Salehoo Educate is a collection of 3 courses:

What I Like About the Course

I like that it's taught by someone that is successful online and not taught by a random staff member at Salehoo.

It also goes into more than just Facebook ads and includes Influencers and Google Ads. Most dropshipping courses only focus on Facebook ads.

What also separates this course from others is that it includes trending and high-profit niches and product ideas. You'd probably get this info with a subscription to Salehoo Dropship anyway, but having this included is a bonus and not seen in most other dropshipping courses.

The course also focuses on building your audience and community. While other courses just focus on sales, building a community builds trust and helps your business thrive.

It's also suitable for beginners. If you've never started a store on Shopify, you'll get lessons on how to set it up from scratch.

It's also really cheap! I mean just $47? You can't beat that.

I also like that if you'd rather give up and get a refund, you are able to do so without any questions asked. Just email support and they will refund your money.

What I Don't Like About the Course

There's no training on SEO or setting up an email campaign. I think these two are important for long-term sustainability of your business.

Some of the training is just a few minutes long and doesn't go into enough detail.

Is Salehoo's Dropshipping on Shopify Worth it?

I think so. It's a lot better than other courses at the same price point. Plus, you're being taught by someone that has run a successful online store (a few actually) so that's an advantage. There's nothing to lose because you can get your money back.

If you want a decent introductory course to selling on Amazon, "Amazon Product Launch" is a very inexpensive option. You don't need any experience as it will guide you in everything starting with what products to sell, finding suppliers, launching your product, and scaling.

Is the Course Worth it?

For an introductory course on selling on Amazon at only $47, I'd say yes it's worth it. You also get a moneyback guarantee which I like.

It was created by Nick Chi, who apparently sold "hundreds of thousands of dollars" online. He's also an employee of Salehoo so will have some insight information on suppliers.

There are courses out there on Amazon FBA that cost a few thousand dollars like Amazing Selling Machine. So the savings here is unbelievable. It won't go into great detail like ASM, but at least you are going to nail the basics and be able to launch your product on Amazon.

3. Free Training

Salehoo also has a free training section. These are essentially blog posts that give an overview of the subject. It's not extensive training. In looking over this content, there's some golden nuggets in there but it's really useful for inspiration only.

I was pretty impressed by Salehoo's customer support. I had a question and decided to use their online chat support. Even though it was the weekend, I got a response within a minute. The rep was very knowledgeable and was able to solve my problem quickly.

Can You Make Money With Salehoo?

That's a very good question. The best way to answer it is like this. You can be successful at anything as long as you put in the work but start off the right way. I think Salehoo has all the tools to make you successful to make money online, but you need to do the work.

Salehoo is not a push-button solution. It will lead you in the right direction with their tools and education, but you need to apply yourself. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Is SaleHoo worth the money?

Salehoo has a few product offerings as I outlined in this Salehoo review, but from what I've seen I would say their products are worth the money. They've invested a significant amount of money into their tools and training.

You have to look at it this way too - if they don't deliver a good product, then you won't see any success. Their success depends on YOUR success.
