There are countless courses out there about making money online. Therefore, people often jump into affiliate marketing with the expectation that they are going to make money quickly and easily.

It is probably why you are on my website. You are wondering how fast you can make money with affiliate marketing. It isn't a question that I am able to answer easily, though.

What I can tell you is that you absolutely can make money with affiliate marketing, and you probably won't make it quickly (don't expect to make it quickly). On this page, I want to cover why this isn't that easy of a question to answer.

What is your Definition of 'Fast'?

For some. fast means that they are expecting to make money within a week or a month. For others, fast means within a year. I have absolutely no doubt that it is possible to make money virtually instantly with affiliate marketing. People have done it. However, that is absolutely not the norm. If you make money within the first 6-months, then you will have done well to yourself.

My job is to help you with affiliate marketing as a beginner. I know that there are some people who are going to be wondering why it takes so long to make money, and I actually do have an answer for that.

It Takes a While to Learn

Affiliate marketing is not just a case of coming up with an idea and rolling with it. Not at the start. A lot of people vastly underestimate the amount of work that needs to be done in order to create a successful website. You have content to produce, research keywords, analyze your competition, build backlinks and so-forth.

Also, you have SEO to do. You have to select the right products. Once you have done it for the first time, it is easy to replicate and your next website may make money within a few weeks (once you have started to rank well in the search engines), but until you have a method that works for you, you will be constantly trying new techniques.

Obviously, it is worth putting in the effort to become an affiliate marketer. It is a great way to make a bit of cash once it starts to roll in. You can even make it while you sleep.

Passive income is the best kind of income anyone can make. Especially while you're on vacation. I make it in my sleep. I make it while im 40,000 feet up in the air traveling. It doesn't stop and you'll also learn how to keep the ball rolling.

You also don't have to worry about taking shit from your boss. You are in charge of yourself. These are all benefits that you need to work hard for. If it genuinely was quick to make money with affiliate marketing then everybody would be doing it, right?

Remember, before you even start to make money, you need to learn the following:

• Website construction (don't worry, use Wordpress it's easy)
• Search engine optimization - if you're going this route
• Content production - write your own or outsource
• Keyword research - Your most important first step!
• Selection of products - make sure there's a variety to choose from
• Competition analysis - VERY IMPORTANT! Don't try to outdo the big guns
• Paid ads  (option)
• Email campaign set up, copy, etc
• Sales Funnels (an option as well)

It is a lot, and it is basically a full-time job to learn everything here.

There are a Lot of Resources...And Not All of Them are Accurate

If you carried out a Google search right now for 'how to make money with affiliate marketing', then you will be greeted with a plethora of different websites. Many of them promising the world. On top of this, you have a ton of different tools that you can use.

The problem is that just because somebody says something works, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will work. It may work for one person and it may not work for your business model. Part of the early stages of becoming an affiliate marketer is trying to find something that helps you move forward. This is a long process.

Not only this, but a lot of the 'make money online' techniques no longer work. They may have worked in the past, but now they are completely useless. It will take you a while to realize that.

In fact, I bet that even though you read this from me, you will still be thinking 'yeah. but this one says it works. It must be true!'. Right?

Building Traffic is the 'Slow Bit'

Even when you have learned everything there is to know about affiliate marketing (you will never learn everything!), you still need to send traffic to your affiliate offers. This can take a while. You need to show that you are trustworthy. You need to get ranked in the searches. You need to have people willing to talk about the 'pros' of your website online.

The problem is that there is no way to predict how long this part will take you. For search engine optimization, it is all going to be dependent on the selection of your keywords. Some keywords could be ranked for within a few weeks. Others may take a year, sometimes even more. You don't know until you try.

Building social media traffic may be a bit quicker, but even then it is unpredictable. You could use the same techniques you have used before and have absolutely no luck.

A lot of it is going to be down to niche selection. Certain niches may be easier to cultivate a following in, which means money in your pocket quickly.

If you Want to Make Money in Affiliate Marketing, Then Start Today

You are already doing a good job reading my post. It shows that you have a little bit of initiative when it comes to affiliate marketing. It shows that you are ready to start making money online.

The best time to start is today. Start learning.what you need to know right now. You should have been doing it yesterday. Leave it until tomorrow and you will be making money a day slower.

I am not going to say you won't make mistakes when you are doing affiliate marketing. You will at the start. I doubt that your first project will be your real 'money maker'.

You are going to learn things that will apply to other projects. You will make mistakes that you will learn from. But if you don't start today, you will never have the opportunity to do any of this.

How to Start Making Money Sooner Rather Than Later

I don't expect you to go out into the big wide world and know exactly what you need to do. Nobody can do that. What you need to get is a road map . Something that will tell you the stages you need to go through in order to develop a successful affiliate site. Basically a training course.

If you can follow a good guide (actually do your research here), then there is nothing that says you won't make the first amount of cash from your website within a couple of months.

This could be your full-time job within a year. You will need to work every single day, but I promise you that if you are willing to put the effort in then the money will come.

Paid Ads Get You Instant Traffic

When it comes to affiliate marketing, in my opinion free, organic traffic converts the best. However, not everyone relies on this and would rather see much faster results because this takes time.

With paid traffic, such as Facebook ads, you could put up an ad today and make your first commission today. It's much quicker but in this scenario you could also lose money. This is why you need to be smart about and understand exactly how this all works in order to mitigate any disasters.

The right training will help you with this and also save you money too.
